Guidelines for traveling with pets

If you’re traveling with your pet, please note that you are solely responsible for any damage your animal may cause to property or persons. To understand your responsibilities and obligations when traveling with pets, we recommend reviewing our Conditions of Carriage.

Pet transport is permitted provided the animal:

  • Has a valid travel document (ticket)
  • Is registered with the appropriate pet registry
  • Possesses a certificate of good health issued by a licensed veterinarian
  • Has received all required vaccinations

In compliance with hygiene and safety regulations, your pet must travel—where possible—in its own carrier. Dogs must wear a muzzle and be always kept on a leash during the journey.

Pets are allowed in the ship’s interior areas, except for food service areas.

Pet accommodation on board

For long-distance routes, animals must be placed in the designated onboard pet accommodation.

If you book a cabin, you may add the Pet Cabin Option to your reservation, allowing you to bring your pet into the cabin with you.

Exceptions: Guide dogs assisting visually impaired passengers, as well as service animals traveling for therapeutic reasons, are exempt from the above restrictions.

For safety reasons, pets may not remain inside vehicles parked in the garage during the voyage. In the event you are unable to accompany your pet in the designated passenger areas, please speak with our onboard staff, who will assist you in finding the most suitable solution to ensure a safe and pleasant journey for both you and your pet.
