When purchasing a ticket for any C&T Group route either online or at a port ticket office, you will receive a ticket. Its validity for boarding depends on the sales channel used, as detailed below:
Boarding Procedures
Ticket Purchase and Validity for Boarding
Online Purchases via carontetourist.it, C&T App, or Payment by Phone through Customer Service
In this case, the ticket is valid for boarding.
You will find the QR Code required for boarding in the PDF ticket sent via email after purchase.
If you purchase as a registered user, the QR Code will also be available in the C&T App (under “My Trips”).
Purchases at the Port Ticket Office
The ticket is valid for boarding.
After completing the purchase, you will receive a printed boarding pass.
Please note: Any changes made after purchase will require a new check-in at the port ticket office.
If you purchased your ticket through C&T Customer Service or online and your PDF does not include a QR Code, you must go to the ticket office with your ticket (printed or digital) or simply provide the booking/PNR code to complete check-in.
The ticket office will issue a boarding pass, which—if required by current regulations for the selected route—will also include a detailed passenger manifest.
Boarding Procedure
Once you have your boarding pass or QR Code, proceed to the embarkation area for inspection by the onboard staff.
Your boarding pass will be scanned using a dedicated device to confirm that all listed passengers and vehicles—based on the data embedded in the QR Code—have boarded the vessel.
The staff will not collect your boarding pass or any printed copies of your ticket, unless otherwise required in exceptional cases by the Company.
If you have purchased a ticket with a discounted fare (e.g. residents of minor islands, members of affiliated organizations, etc.), you must present a valid ID during check-in and boarding.
