Pet Travel Guidelines

If you're traveling with a pet, please be aware that you are fully responsible for any damage caused to people or property. For complete information on your responsibilities while traveling with a pet, please refer to our Transport Conditions.

Pets are allowed on board provided they are registered with the relevant pet registry, accompanied by a valid health certificate issued by a veterinarian, and have received all required vaccinations.
On the Strait of Messina route, pets can travel free of charge.
For hygiene and safety reasons, pets must travel in their carrier whenever possible. Dogs must wear a muzzle and be kept on a leash throughout the entire crossing.
Pets are allowed inside the ship, with the exception of food service areas.
Exceptions to these rules apply to guide dogs accompanying visually impaired passengers and to certified therapy dogs traveling with their owners.

Accommodation of pets on board

Pets may not remain inside vehicles parked in the ship’s garage for safety reasons, as it would not be possible to monitor or assist them if needed. If you are unable to bring your pet into the designated passenger areas, please speak with a crew member, who will help you find the best solution to ensure a comfortable and safe journey for both you and your pet.
