Can I book tickets for routes to the Sicilian Minor Islands?
Yes, you can book your journey through all active sales channels. Booking involves the advance purchase of your travel ticket, as reservations are contingent upon full payment.
“Open” reservations, which do not require immediate payment, are available through authorized travel agencies and commercial vehicles, but they have a limited validity period.

No, there is no fare advantage for purchasing round-trip tickets simultaneously. However, due to the specific nature of connections to the minor islands, it’s advisable to buy your tickets as early as possible to secure your preferred departure.
Yes, tickets can be purchased on the day of departure, but only at:
- Port ticket offices
- C&T Customer Service
- Travel agencies
Purchasing tickets online allows you to proceed directly to boarding without stopping at the ticket office. Simply present the QR code on your ticket to the staff at the boarding area.
Yes. To request a refund, you must initiate a refund request through one of the following methods:
- Contacting our Help Desk at +39.090.57.37
- Sending an e-mail to servizioclienti@carontetourist.it
- Filling out the paper form at the Info Point in Villa San Giovanni/Messina
- Using the “Refund Request” section on the Caronte & Tourist website
- Through your personal account on carontetourist.it

Yes, you can modify your ticket up to 30 minutes before departure by contacting C&T Customer Service or visiting the ticket office. Please note that modifications may be subject to a penalty fee. For more details, refer to the General Conditions of Carriage.
As of May 1, 2013, pursuant to Article 22 of Presidential Decree 633 of 10/26/72 and subsequent amendments, invoices for tickets can only be requested at the time of ticket purchase and before its issuance. For the first invoice request, you must register your tax information in the E-Invoice section available on the Caronte & Tourist website.
Onboard information
Visit the Ports and Ticket Offices section on the website or contact C&T Customer Service.
Yes, onboard bars are available on all ships. Additionally, vending machines are available. On ships serving routes to Naples, the Pelagie Islands, and Pantelleria, a self-service restaurant is also available.

Vehicles
Yes, LPG-powered vehicles can be boarded, but the LPG system must be turned off, and the vehicle must run on petrol throughout the ferry crossing. This must be communicated to the onboard staff.
No, non-operational vehicles cannot be boarded. You must place the vehicle on a tow truck and purchase a ticket for a commercial vehicle.
Yes, if you will be traveling with a rental vehicle and do not yet know the license plate, you can enter “RENTAL” in the license plate field during booking. However, once you have the license plate information, you must communicate it to C&T Customer Service or at the departure ticket office.
No, for safety reasons, passengers are not allowed to remain in their vehicles during the journey, except in exceptional cases and with prior authorization. Passengers with reduced mobility who have specific needs should contact Customer Service.
