Pet Travel Guidelines

If you are traveling with your pet, please note that you are directly responsible for any damage caused to property or individuals. To understand your responsibilities while traveling with your pet, we invite you to consult our Conditions of Carriage.

Pet transport is allowed provided that the animal:

  • Is registered with the appropriate pet registry
  • Has a certificate of good health issued by a licensed veterinarian
  • Has received all required vaccinations.

In accordance with health and safety regulations, pets must travel—when possible—in their own carrier. Dogs must wear a muzzle and be always kept on a leash during the journey.

Pets are allowed in the ship’s indoor areas, apart from food service areas.

Exceptions apply for guide dogs accompanying visually impaired passengers and for service dogs traveling for therapeutic purposes.

On the Palau–La Maddalena route, a valid ticket must also be purchased for your pet.

Accommodation of pets on board

Pets are not permitted to remain inside vehicles parked in the ship’s garage during the voyage. For safety reasons, assistance cannot be guaranteed in the event of an emergency. If you are unable to accompany your pet in the passenger areas, please contact the onboard staff. They will assist you in finding the most suitable arrangement based on your needs, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience for both you and your pet.
